Michael
Dow Associates are able to offer an expert and cost effective
research service which aims to assist those wishing to have someone
undertake genealogical research in the North West. They offer
a range of services from complete research to straightforward
‘look up’ work in the region. In
addition to their research work both Michael and Kathryn undertake
to run courses for beginners in genealogy, including two successful
ones for the Institute
of Local and Family History at the University of Central
Lancashire in Preston.
We
also will be prepared to do talks on various aspects of genealogy
and family history to various organisations and Family History
Societies.
MICHAEL
DOW BA, FRAS has been
researching the Dow, Cramb and Moir family since the 1960's when
he became interested in the background of his grandfather, Commander
Daniel Dow RD, RNR. who although born in Ireland had Scottish
parents. KATHRYN DOW started
by researching her mother's family and now has a massive family
record stretching from Lancashire, Lincolnshire and East Anglia.
Both are members of the Liverpool and SW Lancashire FHS http://www.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/home.htm
and give talks and provide support on Help Desks organised by
the Southport Branch of the society.
