Whilst we are aware that there are many people who want to undertake their own research into their family genealogy there are occasions when even the most enthusiastic genealogist can run into difficulties. This may be due to inexperience or, more likely, to time and travel restraints.
We aim to offer a service to anyone who may find that our expertise and knowledge of our particular location in the North West might be of service. Because we have been undertaking this sort of work for many years we are, in most instances, very quick and resourceful. This means that for you, our client, costs will be kept in reasonable bounds. If, and when, we do have difficulties we will always refer back to you before involving you in any further or unnecessary expense .
Researching ones genealogical background is not always as easy, or straightforward, as some books and recent television programmes make out. In many cases information is difficult to find, difficult to fit with our research and, very frequently, takes months, if not years, of painstaking work. Very few of us have the resources and pocket of the BBC!
